Giacomelli Agricultural Holding
It was founded in 1993 by Roberto Petacchi, following in the footsteps of his maternal grandfather, which led him directly to viticulture in La Spezia. The company is based across two levels: on the plains for the production of IGT Rosso and Bianco wines; and in the hills where the Colli di Luni Vermentino and Rosso DOC wines are produced.
The selection of wines to be produced is oriented around the vines that give life to the original wine products, with a precise wire taste conductor, which combines finesse and elegance in Giacomelli wines. The Malvasia Di Candia and Vermentino are wines renowned for their uniqueness and delicacy.
It aims for the enhancement of the local agricultural heritage, by means of the diversification of culture and by the recovery of the Boboli vineyard. It is one of the historic cru of Castelnuovo Magra, located right beneath the walls of the medieval castle.
All our vines are trained with systems that guarantee a balanced vegetative and productive development: Guyot for white varieties and the cordon for those red berries.

Expert care for the vineyard
EXPERT CARE
Every day, we visit our vineyards to treat all details of plant growth, soil and precautions against pests and diseases. This commitment is rewarded by the quality of our wines, loved all over the world.
PASSION AND EXPERIENCE
We are experts and enthusiasts: our wisdom is combined with the desire to create unique aromas and flavours of this earth. The love of wine is also love for its fruit, which day by day we see growing for generations in the wake of our passion for wine.
Our vineyards
This is where it all starts, from the earth... in a dozen hectares of our company’s vineyards. This is where we begin to create our wine, an expression of our territory. The grapes we grow are those of our grandparents, grapes which have always been cultivated here in the Colli di Luni.
First of all the Vermentino variant, followed by other white grape varieties such as Albarola, Tuscan Trebbiano and the aromatic Malvasia di Candia. The heart is also related to red berry, present in a lesser amount with respect to the white, expressed in the Tuscan Sangiovese, Merlot and Canaiolo.
